Priscilla Piantadosi-Lima (Pri)
AVP PRO VOLLEYBALL PLAYER
Priscilla (aka Pri) started playing volleyball at the age of 15 in Rio. From 15 until 19 years old, she played in either the runner-up or champion’s team in state. Claiming numerous medals for the 15U, 17U and 19U. At the age of 16 Pri started playing beach volleyball as well as indoor. Pri was undefeated with her partner in every tournament from 1997-1999.
In 1999, she came to the U.S. to play for ULL on a full-ride scholarship. As a Ragin Cajun, Pri made All-Sunbelt Conference 2nd team as sophomore and 1st team as senior. She has numerous all-tournament awards and was able to make conference player of the week at least 3 times per season. Pri still holds her records in the school books (5th in hitting attempts and kills and 4th in digs).
After college she decided to give beach volleyball another try. She played in the AVP San Diego stop in 2004 and did not qualify. She played three more tournaments and qualified in them all, in 2005 after her 4th tournament she was already in the main draw. It was in 2009 when she reached her first semifinals and one final appearance. With that performance she got the Most Improved Player Award from the AVP. Also from 2009-2013 Pri played in the Banco do Brasil Tour, finishing every year amongst the top 5 teams. From time to time, she represented Brazil playing in the South American Tour being a 4x Champion. She also played the very first edition of the Continental Cup and got the victory for Brazil. In 2011 she played on the FIVB Tour.
